You asked, we listened, and now you shall receive!
This month we are happy to bring you brand new features and updated roll-outs to improve work flow and reporting across all areas of the Practice Management interface. Listed below is a summary of the features being rolled out and we are happy to answer any questions you have. We have included a link to the users manual to assist in the learning curve and improve understanding of functionality and reporting.
- Secondary claim printing and submitting has arrived! Now you can print secondary claims or file them electronically. This feature is grouped with the primary claim features, not in an additional place with more clicks to access.
- New reports added as well as changes made to existing reports! Some terminology and formatting changes to bring improved clarity, including but not limited to “account credit balance” (the proverbial bucket of patient over payments or credits on their accounts) and account payment definitions (payments made with “accept payment tool” vs. other payment types). New reports include:
- Payer comparison report (ability to see how much you were paid by a specific payer during a specific time period, payments vs. adjustments, etc).
- Call back list (List of patients that have been in the clinic since a specific day but not seen in a specific time period) Report includes patients name, DOB, email address, phone number and last visit date.
- Now book recurring appointments! From the patient file you can now set a patient’s preferred schedule, and when booking their appointment, choose to schedule a given number of appointments during a given period of time. Book an appointment every week at the same time, or every other day, all within the patient’s preferences, reschedule and delete all from the same spot.
- There is now an Audit Log! Track changes made in the interface and see previous values for edited fields. Improves office accountability and allows for more permissions to staff.
- The point of sale cash charges tool has arrived! We have built a new tool for accepting payment for retail items, as well as for tracking and reporting. You can sell these items without booking an appointment, tying the purchase to the patient’s account and accepting all or partial payments immediately, as well as tracking for procurement purposes and inventory management. Payments made using the cash tool have their own tab for review on the “manage payments screen’ within the patient account info.
- Manage your billing from within the SOAP! Clinics can now select payer and visit type within the soap note, improving work flow for easy and accurate billing. If an insurance patient is in for a cash visit, clinic can designate that visit only to a specific payer.
