October 2022 Release

This release contains updates that improve deliverability of patient appointment messaging for SMS and email reminders, improvements to patient portal access for patients and their representatives, new settings to recieve email notifications when a new message in Chart Talk is available, and a new way to use Chart Talk Reports to improve patient engagement.

  1. Bookings Feature: Improved Deliverability of SMS and Email Appointment Reminders
    When Chart Talk receives notification from the patient phone carrier or email provider that the message can’t be delivered, Chart Talk turns off the communication preference and logs the error under the patient communication log as “Comm Error”. This would happen if text messages were being sent to a landline or if the email address was entered incorrectly. You can easily see which patients contact information is not processing by opening Reports > Clinic Reports > Communication Log and setting the filters for a specified date range and type to “Comm Error”.
  2. Improved Patient Portal Experience for Patients and their Representatives

  3. Bookings Feature: New Chart Talk Message Email Notification
    Chart Talk Users and Patients now have a setting to receive email notifications that a new message is available. Chart Talk Users can find this new setting in their user profile settings. The patient setup
  4. Bookings Feature: Statement Available Reminder to Patients with an Outstanding Balance
